R-20 Retarder is a water-based concrete surface retarding agent used to chemically retard the set of fresh concrete surfaces. R-20 Retarder does not cause permanent retardation, but merely prolongs the set time to allow for easy removal of the retarded mortar. Use R-20 Retarder when a rough bonding surface is required or to obtain an architectural exposed aggregate finish. .
